Carolyn Sue McCormick Large, 79, died at her home in Oxford, MS on Saturday, August 28, 2021. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Waller Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.
Born in Illinois to the late Herbert and Ruth Moore McCormick, Carolyn worked in the hospitality industry as a bartender. She was a former member of the APA (Animal Protection Association). She loved animals, especially her dog, “Snuggles.” She also loved her grand and great grandchildren and found great joy in cooking for and hosting her family. Carolyn counted herself fortunate to a have a life-long best friend, Nancy, whom she enjoyed traveling with and going out to eat.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cairns and her husband, Randy, of Oxford, MS; sons, Chad Reedy and his wife, Jennifer, of Abbeville, MS, Craig Reedy and his wife, Michelle, of Alton, IL and Ron Reedy and his wife, Lori, of Illinois; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
