Donthaniel Reed Keith

Iuka/Nettleton – Dontaniel “Donnie” “D.K.” Reed Keith, 30, left his earth, went to a better place and met his Savior on Monday, September 13, 2021. He was born on April 9, 1991, in Tupelo, MS to Donald Ray Keith and Debbie Fay Lamb Keith.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice as a young man. He then furthered his education, went back to school and was working on his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice. He had big aspirations of obtaining his Doctorate in Criminal Justice Law. He was a member of National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Donthaniel was a former police officer in Corinth and while employed there he was exposed to what became his new mission in life, to help those less fortunate. Recently, he was taking his Masters classes while working two different careers to help support education costs. Donnie was working at Academy Sport’s in Tupelo as well as building his new side business of Keith Investigation LLC, serving families in Northeast Mississippi. He had a great passion for his profession, criminology, and the law.

A young man with a big heart, Donnie was an ordained minister in the non-denominational faith. He was loyal, faithful, loved his family, children, and friends, but most of all he loved the Lord. He had a great relationship with his family, loved his brother, and his mama meant the world to him. Donnie was a servant, always helping the homeless and people hooked on drugs. In his free time, he liked to listen to any type of music, including Gospel, Jazz, Soul, Rock Country and other types of music. He liked to take walks in the park, practice martial arts, and he really enjoyed a good book. Some of his close friends, with whom he shared many memories, were Woody Dobson, Jim High, Terry Geno and family, and Joe Rutherford.

His heart was huge and he leaves behind a big gap in many family and friend’s lives. They will ensure that the memories of him live on forever. All the precious moments and times spent with him will be cherished forever. He will be missed dearly.

Left behind to treasure the memories they have are his parents, Donald Ray Keith and Debbie Fay Lamb Keith, Nettleton; brothers, Dustin Keith, Nettleton, Daniel Keith, Amory; sister, Debtishia Keith, Nettleton; Godchild, Madison Smith, Iuka; partners, Michael Gunter, Stephen Knight; brother in God, J.J. Westmoreland; the Smith family and the Garren family; many cousins.
