Amory- Nancy Richey, 61, became totally healed when she was reunited with her husband in Heaven on October 9, 2021. Born on February 15, 1960, in Jasper, Alabama, she was a daughter to the late Richard Haughton and Nancy Avery Haughton.

Growing up in both Alabama and Mississippi, Nancy attended High School in Amory. She married the love of her life, Bobby Richey on July 13, 1980, and together they were blessed with two children. She had one of the most important jobs as she was a Homemaker who providing a loving home for her family. Nancy was proud of raising her children and helping with her grandchildren. She was a great cook, often trying new recipes which her family loved.

Nancy believed in God and was Pentecostal. She loved her husband and family greatly and she could make anyone laugh who needed a lift. Nancy never met a stranger, had a fiery spirit, and was very strong opinionated. She often took in stray animals and helped them. Some of her close friends include Cindy Robinson who she had known since 1st grade, as well as Donna Soden. They often talked and met and solved all the worlds’ problems.

Her presence will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her, yet they have comfort knowing she is with her Savior as well as her husband Bobby.
They will cherish the memories of her forever.

She is survived by her son, Eric Richey (Shelly), Pontotoc; daughter, Kayla Richey, Amory; grandchildren, Michael Richey, Leanna Richey, and Brittney Richey; sister, Rebecca Benton (Scott). Amory; and brothers, Donnie Haughton, Nashville, and Rick Haughton, Mantachie; nieces and nephews, Nicole and Tina Benton; and David Cornelius.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; a stillborn daughter, Crystal Richey; and her sister, Jan Haughton.

A Graveside Funeral Services for Nancy and Bobby will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Haughton Memorial Park, Amory, MS.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:30 pm until the service time at Haughton Memorial Park in Amory.
