Mary Ann Richmond Hester, 81, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at her home in Booneville. She was born in Dyess, Arkansas on July 29, 1940, to Eligh Richmond and Eva Milligan Richmond. She loved singing gospel songs and writing gospel songs. Mary Ann enjoyed talking to everyone, gardening, and fishing.

A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Cannon officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, O.D. Hester; sons, Michael Hayden (Patricia) and Mitchell Hayden (Debbie) all of Booneville; daughters, Karen Michael (Danny) of Rienzi, Donna Davis (Drexel) of Booneville and Brenda Wright (Randy) of Missouri; granddaughters, Tasha Hayden of Columbus, Miranda Kyle of Booneville,and Wendy Rickman of Rienzi; grandson Dakota Wright (Leigh Ann) of Missouri; step-grandchildren, Jason Ramer and J.J. Eaton, both of Faulkner; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and 4 step great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two grandsons, Tony Hayden and Robby Michael, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Cole, Cecil Hicks, Bob Grisham, Steve Richmond, Shelby Rickman, and Landen Michael.
