Funeral service for Wyendal “Hillie” Baswell, 74, is set for 2:00 pm Friday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Gardens. Family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 to service time.
Hillie died November 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1947 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Jim and Opal Baswell. He was of the Baptist faith, a 1968 graduate of Biggersville High School, and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Hillie was a parts delivery driver for NAPA and Advance Auto before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clifton Baswell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, L. E. and Novie Plunk; and brother-in-laws, Gene Plunk and Jimmy Plunk (Connie).
He is survived by his wife, Reta Plunk Baswell; sister Iva Nell Peters (Gary); sister-in-laws, Nila Gilliland (Larry), Glenda Ray and Joyce Plunk; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
