Minnie Dora Fields passed away November 5, 2021 at her residence at the age of 86. She was born November 18, 1934 to the late Bennie Mae Evans and Leon L Mitchell. She worked as a secretary for TVA for many years, then worked in the cheese office at MSU. She was a good mother and loved her grandkids.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Fields (Janet) of Madison, AL; daughter, Jeannie Fields of West Point; grandchild, Travis Swindle; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Fields; a granddaughter, Alexis ‘Lexi’ Delaney Swindle; a sister, Elon Phillips.

A graveside service will be 1 PM Wednesday November 10, 2021 at Coleman Cemetery in McAdams with Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be 9-10 AM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home.

  1. Dear Fields family, I’m sorry for your loss and you have my deepest condolences. The loss of a loved one brings great pain and sorrow but you can gain comfort from Gods word the Bible. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection” so you can see your loved ones again. A promise from our loving Heavenly Father. I hope this was a source of encouragement for the family.
