Services to celebrate the life of Penny Green, 56, will be held Friday evening at 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and family beginning at 6:00 pm.
Penny died on November 16, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Alcorn County on February 4, 1965 to Larry and Betty Wallace Byrd. She was a member of Kendrick Baptist Church. In her earlier years, she loved being a truckdriver and was better know on the road as "Lady Lightning".
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry J. Byrd; and the father of her children, Brian Bain.
She is survived by his mother, Betty Byrd and Papa Neal; daughters, Becky Hodges (Chris), Beth Bain (Jazz) and Sarah Bain (Trey); sisters, Lisa Smith and Bridgette Mason (Doug); and grandchildren, Alyssa, Emily, Gracie, Jackson, Kobe, Alexander, Ariah, Acea, Shyla Dae, Ava Love, Carson and Caleb.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in the honor of Penny Green to the any Lupus Foundation of your choice.
