William “Buddy” Foster, passed away December 10, 2021 in Tupelo, Mississippi at the age of 72. Born in rural Mississippi on May 4, 1949 at home. The delivery cost were: 1 pound of butter, a dozen eggs, w chickens and a gallon of milk, something Buddy was very proud to laugh and talk about.
He owned and operated Buddy Foster welding in Clarksdale, MS for 35 plus years, before retiring in late 2019.
Buddy was a master in his line of work, well known in the community. His work with heavy equipment, welding, machinist, metallurgist and metal fabrication.
Buddy had a love for opera and country western music. He also was passionate about animals and he had many. He helped family and friends however needed.
Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Odell Foster, several brothers and sisters.
He leaves behind his son, Thomas Foster of MO; a daughter, Debra Pierce Peach, grandchildren, Jordan Pierce Miller, Devon Foster, Taylor Pierce Cordova along with 7 great grandchildren, all of Amarillo, TX; brothers, John Foster of Carrier, MS, Donnie Ray Foster of MS and a sister, Shirley Johnson of OR; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, MS, with Father Sabastian offering a reading and a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to Sacred Heart Church in Greenville, MS or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
