Ozark- Jackie Faye Bishop 81, was born August 14, 1944 in Prentiss County, MS. and she passed away at her home on April 20, 2026. She was a member of Ozark Church of Christ. Jackie had a green thumb and loved working with flowers, her garden and raised many beautiful plants. She was dedicated to her family and was the best cook. Everyone loved her sweet potato pie, fried pies and jellies. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2026 @ 4:00 p. m. with Minister Tony Brown and Minister Hunter Miller officiating. Burial will be in Ozark Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Larry Bishop, they married 03/02/1962; 3 daughters, Cindy Layman (Gary) of Ozark Community, Lana Lollar (Mike) of Mantachie, MS, and Marla Harris (William) of Ozark Community; 6 Grandchildren, Jake Layman (Jala) Mooreville, MS, Alex Lollar (Keri) Mantachie, MS, Jackie Marquez (Jake) Fulton, MS, Jenna Rollins (Jeff), Mooresboro, NC, Madi Franklin (Whit) Leesburg, FL and Heath Lollar, Mantachie, MS; 4 Great Grandchildren, Owen Lollar, Mantachie, MS, Grady Rollins, Mooresboro, NC and Zeke and Ruby Layman, Mooreville, MS; 1 brother, Roy B. Maxcy (Amanda) of Marietta, MS; host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harl B. Maxcy and Beatrice Bailey Maxcy.
Pallbearers will be Jake Layman, Alex Lollar, Heath Lollar, Jake Marquez, Jeff Rollins and Whit Franklin.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p. m.
