Robert H. McKinney

A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors for Robert Hugh McKinney, 91, was held 2:00 pm Monday December 20, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Christian Church Cemetery.

Robert died December 16, 2021 at Tishomingo Manor. He was born September 10, 1930 in Pickwick, TN to the late George and Louise McKinney. He attended the Oak Hill Christian Church until his health declined. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict, where he received three Purple Hearts. Robert was a retired Supervisor after 38 years, from the Counce Paper Mill. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and working on farm equipment.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma McKinney; daughter, Anita McKinney; grandson, Brennen Thrasher; and his parents.

He is survived by his son, Jerry McKinney; sister, Mary Viola McKinney; grandchildren, Amy Hubbard, Carrie Baker and Rebecca McKinney; great granddaughter, Jaidyn Thrasher; and a host of other family.
