Graveside service for Kenyon “Ken” Duane Gunn, Jr., 68, is set for 11:00 am Thursday at Magnolia Gardens. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.
Ken died December 20, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville, MS after an extended illness. He was born October 27, 1953 in Shreveport, LA to Duane and Nancy Gunn. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a 1971 graduate of Corinth High School, then a 1992 of University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Ken was a local pharmacist in the Corinth area for many years. He enjoyed bass fishing, music and golf.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Gunn; his paternal grandparents, Homer and Hazel Gunn; and his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Ruth Blaylock.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandy Gunn; his mother, Nancy Gunn; his son from a previous marriage, Trey Gunn (Catie); brother, Mike Gunn (Paula); sister, Pricilla Kasten (Mike); granddaughters, Taylor Gunn and Olivia Gunn; a nephew, Cliff Gunn; nieces, Michelle Ramirez, Caroline Kasten and Drew Kasten; and numerous other family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AMEN Food Pantry or Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelter.
