Jamie Murphy Sparks

Jamie Murphy Sparks, 36, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at her home in New Orleans, La. She was born in Galveston, Texas on December 30, 1984, to William Johnie “Tink” and Kathlene Richards Murphy. She attended Thrasher Schools and had previously worked at the Landmark Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, listening to music and shopping.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home. Visitation for Ms. Sparks will be held prior to the funeral service from 4:00 PM until service time. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Jaida McKinney of Booneville; the father of her child, Matt McKinney of Booneville; her mother Kathlene Murphy of Spokane, Washington; a sister, Carrie Murphy of Booneville; and an aunt, Sheila Pool of New Orleans, La.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her grandmother, Ethel “RV” Murphy, and aunt, Reba Jameson.
