Ms. Bessie “Ruth” Wilson Brown, 74, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at Diversicare in Eupora, MS. The funeral will be Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Starnes officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 P.M. Burial will follow in Webb Cemetery.

Ms. Brown was born in 1947 to the late Clarence Leonard and Ruth Mobley Wilson. She retired from the American General Life Insurance Company (AIG) as an Insurance Agent. In her free time, Ms. Brown enjoyed crossword puzzles and art projects, and had a special love for drawing. She was a gifted flower gardener, and tending to her blooms each year brought her great joy. When her hands weren’t full with a project, she enjoyed watching the Weather Channel and crime shows on TV. Ms. Brown would keep up with her friends and family through Facebook, and was so grateful that social media was able to keep them close. Above all, she adored spending time with her family, who were so dear to her heart. In addition to her parents, Ms. Brown is preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Denley and Nora King, and two brothers, Clarence Wilson and Billie Joe Wilson.

Ms. Brown is survived by a daughter, Melanie Brown Askew and her husband, Melvin of Maben, MS; a son, Frank Brown and his wife, Regina of Paris, MS; two sisters, Gladys Adams of Greenville, MS and Kathy McNeer of Oxford, MS; three brothers, Jimmy Wilson of Ackerman, MS, George Wilson of Tupelo, MS, and Tommy Wilson of Fayetteville, AR; three grandchildren, Josh Alexander and his wife, Amber, Amanda Allen and her husband, Brandon Piascik, and Blair Riddell and her husband, Sam; and three great-grandchildren, Lacey, Jacob, and Maverick Alexander.
