New Albany-William Dwight "Goose" Moody, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was born August 31, 1944 to Webster Moody and Zora Lee Grubbs Moody. he served in the National Guard, and worked in the furniture industry as an upholster until he retired. He married his high school sweetheart, Martha Bond Moody, built a home and raised their daughter, Terrie, in New Albany. Mr. Moody enjoyed Pony pulling and horse trading. He was a member of the Mississippi Pony Pulling Club. He was a family man and loved them above all else. He was a member of Neely Baptist Church.
Visitation for Mr. Moody will be Monday, January 10, 2022 from 10:00am till the start of the service at 3:00pm Everything will be at United Funeral Service. Bro. Jeremiah McMillen and Bro. Jason Plicher will be officiating.
He is survived by his wife Martha Moody, one daughter Terrie Renea Cobb (Bubba), two sisters, Mary Hall and Peggy Roberson, two brothers, Lamar Moody and Joe Moody, and two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers are Ray Hall, Chris Hall, Harrison Hall, Joey Moody, Michael Mason, Lane Mason, Juan Moody and Tommy White. Honorary are Tony Casper Harold Grubbs, David Moody, Sherman Nolan, Mississippi Pony Pullers Club and Neely Men's Sunday School Class
