Mrs. Joyce Ann Ledlow, 87, passed away on January 19, 2022 at The Beehive in Starkville. Joyce was born on April 29, 1934, in Weatherford, Texas, to the late Steven, Sr. and Annie Pearl Wingo. .She was a good and faithful servant of the Lord, Jesus Christ. She served as a missionary in Pakistan for four years. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Kenneth Ledlow on April 29, 1967, in Weatherford, Texas. He predeceased her on August 1, 2020.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Carley Ledlow, two sisters, Mildred Lee Wingo Kelley and Mary Dorothy Wingo Fogo and five brothers, Steven Jasper, Steven Irwin, Jr., Robert Wyth, Charles Glen, and Benjamin Wayne Wingo.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 22 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Starkville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Phil Stoll officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Amy Lear (James) of West Point: her son, Dallas Lee Ledlow (Kim) of Cary, North Carolina: three grandchildren, Courtney and Blake Ledlow and Suzie Lear and a sister, Ina Sue Wingo Young.

  2. Dear Ledlow family, one of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Did you know the Bible compares death to sleep? (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything. There is a promise of hope in the Bible. Our loving God has promised to awaken the dead, as if from sleep, and give them life again. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” The Bible offers comfort for those who are grieving and I hope this brings you comfort as well.

  3. I met Joyce in about 1963 when i was 17 at Central Baptist Church in Bowie TX. She was there to talk about going to the mission field. I have remembered her all my life and in about 2018 I was able to locate her and called and talked to her. So glad I did
