Celebration of life service for Ricky Rorie, 59, are set for 11:00 am Monday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Willliams Cemetery. Bro.Charlie Cooper and Bro. Gerald Downs will officiate the service. Visitation will be held Sunday 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Ricky was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Mission. He was a 1980 graduate of Alcorn Central High School and retired from Kimberly Clark after 28 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and collecting civil war memorabilia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rorie; and grandparents, Vernon and Ernestine Vanderford, Ruben and Nell Rorie.
He is survived by his son, Josh (Rebecca) Rorie; daughter, Amanda (Bennett) Dulaney; mother, Lavada Rorie; brother, Donney Rorie; grandchildren, Thomas Rorie and Evelyn Rorie; fiancé, Joyce Burks; and special friend, Bill Martin.
