Mr. Edward “Eddie” Gene Langford, 80, passed away on February 5, 2022 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. Eddie was born on July 31, 1941, in West Point, to the late Sid and Viola Eaton Langford. Eddie was a Welder at Babcock and Wilcox in West Point for 31 years. He enjoyed working word find puzzles, fishing, hunting, camping, and going to the Sparta Opry. He was a member of the West Point Masonic Lodge #40 F.&A.M., where he was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a member of the District 8 Eastern Star and was a Shriner. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, He married Glenda Scates Langford on December 5, 1959, in West Point. He was of the Baptist faith.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 P.M. from Greenwood Cemetery in West Point with Bro. Bobby Cliett officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Langford of Cedar Bluff: son, Ricky Langford (Missy) of West Point, granddaughter, Sara Langford of West Point and sister-in-law, Jan Bennett of West Point.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Jackson, Joey Jackson, Hunter Estes, Anthony Cummings,
B. J. Bennett, and Wayne Bennett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ricks, Ronald Davis, John Estes, Dr. Richard Kessey, Second Floor Nursing Staff at OCH Regional Hospital, Staff of Kindred Hospice, and Friends at Babcock and Wilcox.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103.
