Miss Ann Caroline McIntosh, 19, died Thursday, February 10, 2022, at her home in Oxford, MS. There will be a graveside service Monday, February 14, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in West Hall of Waller Funeral Home.
Ann Caroline was born in 2002 to Cooper and Caroline McIntosh. Growing up, she loved to travel with her family and spend time at their summer camp in South Mississippi. Ann Caroline held close relationships with her siblings and cousins and always looked forward to the spring break trips they would all take together. As a babysitter in the Oxford community, she was known for her trustworthy and caring personality. Ann Caroline cared deeply for all of the little ones she looked after and genuinely enjoyed the time she spent with them. A freshman at The University of Mississippi, Ann Caroline was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. She was an Allied Studies major, with plans to pursue veterinary medicine. Ann Caroline had a compassionate heart and looked forward to a career committed to helping animals. She donated her free time to feeding the stray cats on campus and volunteering at the local animal shelter. Ann Caroline and her boyfriend, Andrew Shivers, had recently expanded their own four-legged pack by adopting a new dog, Beau. Ann Caroline was a bright and intelligent young woman and found most joy when surrounded by her close circle of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William “Bill” and Ann Hawthorne and Barry and Mary Howell McIntosh; and an uncle, Will Hawthorne.
Ann Caroline is survived by her parents, Cooper McIntosh and Caroline H. McIntosh of Oxford, MS; a sister, Ella McIntosh of Oxford, MS; a brother, Anderson McIntosh, Jr. of Oxford, MS; aunts and uncles, Sarah and Patton Seabrook, Meg Hawthorne and Bruce Mactavish, Barry and Laurie McIntosh, and Mary Howell and Jay Gann; and her cousins, Ann Louise Seabrook, Pat Seabrook, Will Seabrook, Sarah Margaret Seabrook, Mary Elizabeth McIntosh, Park McIntosh, Jay Gann, and Mary Gann.
