Faye Cooper Lokey

Mrs. Faye Cooper Lokey, 89, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Rosewood Assisted Living in Belden, MS. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Browning Cemetery in Oxford, MS. The visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M.

Mrs. Lokey was born in Oxford, MS to the late Frank and Mattie Horne Cooper. She was a Baptist. If you held a conversation with Faye for more than five minutes, she was sharing the gospel message with you. She loved Jesus and her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time reading inspirational stories, working puzzles, and listening to gospel music. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd H. Lokey, Jr. and her sister, Ruth Babcock.

She is survived by her daughter, Karla Joblin and her husband, Terry, of Tupelo, MS; son, Cooper Lokey of Oxford, MS; two grandchildren, Leslie Joblin of Water Valley, MS and Clint Lokey and his wife, Brandy, of Oxford, MS; and one great grandson, Lane Lokey of Oxford, MS.
