Mrs. Christy Lynn Travis, 45, passed away on February 20, 2022 at her residence in Cedar Bluff. Christy was born on December 8, 1976, in West Point, to the late Milton Ray and Verley Barmore Benson. Christy was a 1995 graduate of Oak Hill Academy. As a homemaker, she enjoyed homeschooling her girls. She was a true friend, a positive person and was always smiling. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and especially loved dolphins. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She married Ronald Travis on June 20, 1998, in West Point.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Travis.

Visitation will be tonight, Monday, February 21, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Siloam Baptist Church in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Dr. Bill Duncan officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Travis: two daughters, Brittney Jean Travis and Victoria Travis, all of Cedar Bluff: two brothers, Ricky Benson of Hickory, North Carolina and Larry Benson (Lori) of Athens, Tennessee.
