Vera “Mae” Floyd

Vera “Mae” Floyd, 68, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022. Mae was born on August 18, 1953, in Cherokee, AL, to James Borden and Ruby Geneva Smith Borden. Mae was a member of Snowdown Church of Christ. She was a retired sewing inspector. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Mae was a busy body.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Snowdown Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow, in the sanctuary, at 2:00 PM. Bro. Mike Floyd and Bro. Randy Collum will be officiating. Burial will be in the Snowdown Church of Christ Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mae leaves behind three sons, Tony Floyd (Melanie), Jason Floyd (Allison) and Jeremy Floyd (Jennifer) all of Booneville; two brothers, Ray Borden and Bobby Borden both of Cherokee, AL; seven grandchildren, Audrianna Nigra, Taylor Floyd, Paige Floyd, Kelsey Floyd, Lindsey Floyd, Kaylee Inman and Allie Floyd; and two great-grandchildren, Marianna Nigra and Sophie Nigra.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Floyd; her parents; son, Michael Floyd; two brothers, Gary Borden and Joe Borden; and sister, Karen Brooks.
Pallbearers will be Tony Floyd, Jason Floyd, Jeremy Floyd, Taylor Floyd, Billy Floyd and Steve Floyd.
