Mrs. Marlyn Elizabeth Daniel Tramel, 85, died Friday, February 25, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. The funeral service will be Monday, February 28, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery.

Mrs. Tramel was born on April 6, 1936 in Lafayette County, MS to the late Alline and Golden Daniel and was the widow of Mr. John Eulis Tramel. Mrs. Tramel was a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and youth classes. The relationship she had with the Lord was a part of her daily life and the cherished the relationships she had with her church family. Mrs. Tramel was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed woodworking. Over the years, she and her late husband built a family cabin, assisted in building family member’s homes and built many sets of cabinets by hand! She was an avid reader and could quickly get lost in a book and immediately looked for a new title as soon as she reached the end. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her yard. Following her retirement from The University of Mississippi Printing department, her caring nature led her to become an elder caregiver for many years. One of her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren who visited her often!

She is survived by three children, Terry L. Tramel (Lynn), Jan S. Woodgate (Stephen) and Judy L. Tramel all of Oxford; a brother, Kenneth Daniel and his wife, Pat of Los Altos Hills, CA; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
