Celebration of Life Service for Melinda Kay Samples, 63, are set for 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Tate Baptist Church with Bro. Mickey Trammell officiating. Burial will follow in Henry Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 am to service time at Tate Baptist Church.
Melinda died February 27, 2022 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was born January 3, 1959 in Corinth, MS to R.D. and Kathryn Hathcock Samples. She was a member of Tate Baptist Church and the Sonshine Sunday School Class. She was also involved with the Tate Baptist Church Food Ministry and taught Sunday School. She was a caregiver for over 20 years. Melinda loved her dog, June Bug.
She was preceded in death by her father, R.D. Samples; grandparents, Jimmy and Mary Lou Hathcock, Porter and Lula Samples; and other Aunts and Uncles.
She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Samples; a sister, Michelle Samples; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Randy Johnson, Lew Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Brandon Quinn, Richart Tenhet, and Phillip Hathcock.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tate Baptist Church food pantry.
