The funeral will be Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at College Hill Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Frierson was born in Mize, MS to the late Ethel and Lottie Maddox. At a young age, she developed a passion for philanthropic work, as she helped her parents with the orphanage they ran. Mrs. Frierson truly enjoyed working with the children in their care and this sparked a life-long commitment to helping those in need. A long-time member of College Hill Presbyterian Church, she found great fellowship in her Barnabas Bible Study. Each member of the church’s youth group knew to expect a birthday card from Mrs. Frierson every year without fail. In her free time, she loved to volunteer at the local food pantry. A skilled seamstress and a wonderful cook, Mrs. Frierson embodied the precious attributes of a good southern woman. She was always up for a good round of solitaire, dominos, rook, or Yahtzee. Mrs. Frierson loved to socialize and looked for any opportunity to spend time with friends or family. It was these special visits with those she loved that brought her the most joy in life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Frierson, Jr. and two sisters, Nan Willson and Sue Tadlock.

Mrs. Frierson is survived by her sons, Robert Lynn Frierson III and his wife, Pam of Oxford, MS, Benjamin Luckie Frierson and his wife, Sharon of Corinth, MS, and Arthur Maddox Frierson and his wife, Michelle of Oxford, MS; six grandchildren, Chris Frierson, Joey Frierson, Josh Frierson, William Taylor Frierson, Katelyn Frierson, and Robert Lynn Frierson IV; and four great-grandchildren, Mattie Frierson, Annie Frierson, Reed Frierson, and Taylor Frierson.

Expressions of sympathy or memorial contributions in Mrs. Frierson’s memory may be made to the College Hill Cemetery Fund, 339 County Road 102, Oxford, MS 38655.
