Mrs. Dianne Watson, 70, passed away on March 10, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was born on January 27, 1952, in West Point, to the late John Warren, Sr. and Arlene Henry. She enjoyed crafting and sewing. She loved her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She married John Thomas Watson on July 6, 1968. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, J. W. Henry, Jr.

Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Towery officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, John Watson of West Point: five daughters, Lania Thurlow (David) of Florida, Lynn Watson of Biloxi, Tina Bauzil (Diego) of Clinton, Tasha Watson of West Point, Angie Watson of Alabama: nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lydia Hall (Keith) of Clinton, Sarah Beth Harden of Cedar Bluff and a host of nieces and nephews.

  1. Dear Watson family, one of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Did you know the Bible compares death to sleep? (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything. But there is a promise of hope in the Bible. Our loving God has promised to awaken the dead, as if from sleep, and give them life again. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” The bible offers comfort for those who are grieving and I hope this brings you comfort as well.
