Virginia Faye Davis, 72, departed this life for her life in eternity on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after a period of declining health. She was born in Marks, Mississippi on April 13, 1949, to the late Harrison Ard and Tinnie Faye McPeake. In her adult life she lived in Brandon, MS and attended First Baptist Church there. She worked in the billing, collections, and insurance department of the Mississippi State Hospital at Whitfield. She moved to Tupelo 7 years ago to be with her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook for them. Among her many hobbies were sewing, canning, gardening, and painting. Her love in life was playing with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
Virginia is survived by her children Dana Garcia and Richard Davis of Shannon, MS; her 4 grandchildren, Heather Garmin of South Carolina, Seth Davis of Crystal Springs, MS, Ashley Garcia of Shannon, MS , and Lindsey Garcia of Thomasville, Al; and her great grandchild Eli Garcia of Shannon; 2 brothers, Bill Ard of Pearl and Jerry McPeake of Denver, Co; and two sisters, Jean Rothery of Brandon and Maggie Woods of Biloxi. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.
The Family will honor her life in a private memorial service at a later date.
