Doris Choate

Funeral service for Doris Choate, 81, will be held Friday at 3:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday from 1:00 pm until service time at Memorial. Ronald Choate will officiate the service.

Mrs. Choate died on March 27, 2022 at Tishomingo Manor. She was born on September 20, 1940 in Alcorn County to the late Sam Bob and Etoy Langston Odle. She worked for 30 plus years at ITT in Corinth and also Parker-Hannifen in Booneville. She was a loving lady and enjoyed spending her time with her family.

She is survived by her sons; Mark Choate (Susan) and Ronald Choate (Cheryl); daughter, Teresa Choate; grandchildren, Tony Choate (Emily), Jodi Choate, Kevin Miller (Kristen), Faith Marvel, Bryce Marvel, Chase Stewart (Brittany), Rocky Miller (Abby), and Courtney Ray (John); great-grandchildren, Laura, Mary, Emma, Sarah, Madelyn, Owen and Ruby; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Irving J. Choate; son, Timothy Choate; daughter, Tammy J. Gardner; brothers, Russell Odle and Ed Odle; and sisters, Katherine Foss, Grace Marcle, and Billie Sue Stanton.
