Martavius Pegues, 10 months old, transitioned on Monday, April 18, 2022, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Baby  Martavius Pegues, was born June 5, 2021, to Kimireia  Pegues,  at  Methodist  Le Bonheur  Germantown Hospital, Memphis, TN.  He was a happy, loveable baby.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, a  loveable mother, Kimireia Pegues; grandmother Carolette Pegues, Memphis, TN;  Aunts Erica Milan (Darrin), Hickory Flat, MS, Dominique  Pegues, Holly Springs, MS,  Donesiha  Millbrooks, Memphis,  TN,  Jasmine Pegues,  Louisiana, and  Shiolvia Lewis,  Memphis,  TN;  uncles, Sandy Pegues (Kayauna), Steve Lewis, Hickory Flat, Jaquves Pegues, Southaven,  MS;  aunts, uncles, grandmom, granddad, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Earline Thomas Hall, uncles, granddad, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.,  at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Springs, MS.

Services will be Friday, April 29, 2022, 1:00 p.m., Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Springs, MS.

Burial will be at Smith Grove M.B. Church, 5735 Smith Grove Road, Holly Springs, MS.

Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs, MS, is in charge of arrangements.

  1. Dear Pegues family, one of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Did you know the Bible compares death to sleep? (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything. There is a promise of hope in the Bible. Our loving God has promised to awaken the dead, as if from sleep, and give them life again. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” The bible offers comfort for those who are grieving and I hope this brings you comfort as well.
