Tyrone James Cook, 32, transitioned on Monday, May 3, 2022, Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto, Southaven, MS.

Tyrone Cook was born to Kathy Hampton and late Willie A. Cook on March 20, 1990 in Amory, MS. He departed this life on May 3, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, MS. He obeyed the gospel at an early age at South Matubba St. Church of Christ in Aberdeen, MS.

Tyrone enjoyed singing, cooking, spending time with family and friends and driving trucks and later on, he became the owner of his own trucking company Cook Logistics, LLC. Tyrone was a 2009 graduate of Ashland High School.

In his homegoing, Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory, one son Tyson Cook (Plano, TX), his mother Kathy Hampton and stepdad Willie James Hampton of Ashland, MS. Four sisters: Jessica Baker, Ashley Standifer, Chelcy Cook, Melanie Love; two stepsisters: Tabitha Greene(Darrell), Marshanna Harris; three brothers: Quinton Evans (Raven), Nekia Cook, Nigel Cook; one stepbrother: Travis Hampton (Shameka), and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie A. Cook.

Viewing will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, 2:00 p.m., Church of Christ, 1235 Hernando Road, Holly Springs, MS.

Service will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, 3:00 p.m., Church of Christ, 1235 Hernando Road, Holly Springs, MS.

  1. Dear Cook family, one of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Did you know the Bible compares death to sleep? (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything. There is a promise of hope in the Bible. Our loving God has promised to awaken the dead, as if from sleep, and give them life again. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” The bible offers comfort for those who are grieving and I hope this brings you comfort as well.
