Janet Marie Bratton, age 68, of Water Valley, MS died Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Panola County Medical Center in Batesville, MS. She was born July 14, 1953, to the late Howard and Mary (Griffis) Keel. Janet was born into a generation where the every day focus was family and hard work. She began that work at an early age which included employment at Big Yank, Baptist Memorial Hospital, Holley Carburetor, and Taylor Catfish to name a few. When she wasn’t working to provide for her family, she found great pleasure in cooking, yard work, shopping, and playing computer games. She also loved family gatherings where she could spend time with her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, May 20, 2022, in the Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks Funeral Home starting at 3:00 PM.
Janet is survived by two daughters, Tammy Bratton (Tony Potts), and Michelle Hastings, all of Water Valley, MS; as well as two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristy Dixson.
