Funeral services for Edna Faye McEwen Dillingham will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 26 at the Foote Street Church of Christ. James Vansandt will officiate the service. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Social distancing and masks are encouraged.

Mrs. Dillingham was born in Corinth on December 16, 1932. She passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the age of 89. She was a member of the Foote Street Church of Christ and will be remembered by her family and friends as a devoted wife and mother.

She has been preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John J. Dillingham, her parents W.R. and Oda Jewel McEwen, one sister, Jewel McEwen Armstrong and her husband Jake, one brother Norris McEwen and his wife Evelyn, two brothers-in-law James R. Dillingham, Donald E. Dillingham and his wife Imogene, and one nephew Timothy E. Dillingham.

She is survived today by two sons, Brad Dillingham, Stan Dillingham and his wife Patricia, and by one foster daughter, Lisa Gant Houry and her husband Sam. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Billie Sue Dillingham, and by seven nieces and one nephew.

The family requests memorials be made to Pine Vale Children’s home, 1872 CR 700, Corinth, MS 38834.

  1. Dear Dillingham family, one of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Did you know the Bible compares death to sleep? (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything. There is a promise of hope in the Bible. Our loving God has promised to awaken the dead, as if from sleep, and give them life again. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” The bible offers comfort for those who are grieving and I hope this brings you comfort as well.
