Frances Louise (Whitlock) Russell

December 9, 1937 ~ May 22, 2022 (age 84)

– Mrs. Frances Louise Whitlock Russell, age 84, left this world and entered her eternal home on Sunday, May 22, 2022.  She was born to this life December 9, 1937, in Monroe Co., Mississippi to the union of Thomas Jefferson Whitlock and Jewel Allen Whitlock.  She was one of eight children and was a graduate of Nettleton High School.  Frances married the love of her life, Waylon Floyce Russell who died May 21, 1995, honoring their vows until her home-going.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who adored her family.  She was a virtuous woman being “much about Jesus”, loving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was a long-time member of Faith Outreach in Okolona.

Frances and her husband, Floyce owned and operated Avon Manufacturing Company for many years before his death and her retirement.  She was a true Southern Belle and “Pink Lady.”  She loved talking to her girlfriends and especially her grandchildren with whom she long conversations.

A celebration of her life and home-going will be at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Faith Outreach Church in Okolona with Pastor Jimmy Bryan and Donald Wayne “Beau” Sullivan, Jr. her grandson officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to service time at the church only.  Graveside service will follow at East Chickasaw Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Gary Hugh Whitlock, Sam Warren, Jeff Senter, Den Ausbern, Jay Bryan, and Jackie Moore.  Honorary pallbearers will be Chief Tommy Ivy, Tommy Moore, Van Hanna, Dale Pierce, Billy Carter, Travis Bryan, Rod Broussard, and V M Cleveland.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Donnie Wayne Sullivan of Okolona; three grandchildren, Donald “Beau” Sullivan and fiance’ (Mandi Mielsch) of Lake Conroe, TX, Ashley Fayle (Josh) of Centerville, TX and Christine Ford mother of Teddy of Lake Conroe, Tx; three great-grandchildren, Theodore “Teddy” Whitlock Sullivan, Rebecca “Andy” Anderson Fayle and Rachel “Ally” Allen Fayle; three sisters, Carolyn Pigg of Okolona, Linda Sue Senter of Fulton, and Ann Bryan of Okolona; a forever daughter in law Rebecca “Becky” Broussard of Lake Conroe, Tx.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews which she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Billy, Bobby and Sid Whitlock, and one sister, Tommy Nell Free.
