Steve Wren

Service to celebrate the life of Steve Wren, 51, will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Chewalla Baptist Church with military honors to follow in Wren Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home and Wednesday from 11:00 am until service time at Chewalla Baptist. Bro. Richard Doyle will officiate the service.

Steve died Friday June 17, 2022 at his residence. He was born on February 20, 1971 in Booneville. He was a 1989 graduate of McNairy Central High School. After high school, he entered and served in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for A.G. Wright Trucking and was a member of Chewalla Baptist Church. He loved writing poems, drawing and listening to music. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Tennessee Volunteer fan. He grew up playing all sports and still enjoyed golf.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Wren; and loved as a daughter, Sierra Jacobsen.mother, Linda Cardwell (Sam); father, Larry Wren (Shirley); sister, Tammy Spencer; niece, Addie Spencer; soon to be great-niece, Maylee Spencer; step-brother, Cedrick McCormick (Donna); step-sisters, Delinda Cardwell and Jennifer McCollum (Jordan).

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hershel and Vera Miller, J.L. and Laverne Wren.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Fowler, Greg Wren, Chip McCollum, Chuck Carpenter, Rodney King and Anthony Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Kade Parker, Conner Parker, Jared Wallace, Michael Lancaster and Scott Lancaster.
