Funeral service for Elsie Martin, 90, will be held at 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hopewell Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin died on Sunday July 17, 2022 at her residence. She was born on August 12, 1931 to the late Herman and Callie Crum Moss. She was a retired factory worker. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was baptized at Gospel Tabernacle, but most recently attended Rock Hill Pentecostal. She loved to quilt, taking care of her roses, collecting cookbooks and most importantly, she loved being with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Lonnie Martin (Jenny) and Ronnie Martin (Rosa); daughters, Nelda Naylor (Denis), Shirley Martin, Lynn Morton and Brenda Shadburn (Keith); sister, Dorothy Greer (William); 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; and her caretaker, Ladonna Dotson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Martin; daughter, Judy Flatt; infant daughter, Betty Martin; and infant grandson, Kenneth Lee Martin.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Martin, Randall Shadburn, Keith Shadburn, Denis Naylor, Cory Morton and Junior Morton. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Moody and Nelda Naylor.
