Mr. Robert Earl Crane, 88, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his home in Oxford, MS. The memorial service will be Friday, August 5, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home. There will also be a memorial service on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at Community Congregational Church, 276 F Street, Chula Vista, CA 92010.

Bob was the 4th of 6 children. He and his family moved from Goodyears Bar to Chula Vista, CA in 1941. Bob graduated from CVHS in 1952, where he played football. Bob worked as a truck driver hauling hay, and freight until 1970. In 1967 he obtained his Real Estate License & then his Brokers license. He helped many people find their dream homes for over 40 years.

Bob married Judith Gallupe on March 13, 1965 and celebrated over 57 years of marriage.

Bob accomplished many things in his life. In 1977, he became President of PSAR, the local Board of Realtors in Chula Vista and in 1983, he was Regional Vice President of the California Assn of Realtors. He is now an honorary Life Member of PSAR Board of Realtors and CAR. Bob served on various commissions for the City of Chula Vista and other civic organizations for over 35 years. Bob was President of Kiwanis 1979-1980 and active member of Kiwanis from 1972 through 2007 when Bob & Judie moved to Liberty MS. In 2020 they moved to Oxford, MS to live closer to family.

Bob had many loves in his life, gardening, bowling, watching Charger & Padre games, Real Estate, traveling, and watching his children & grandchildren perform or play sports, but his heart was with his wife, children & grandchildren.

Bob was diagnosed in 2013 with Parkinson’s Disease. He was a wonderful & caring husband, father & grandfather and that is by far his greatest accomplishment. His rhyming and sense of humor will be missed by his family & friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mary Catherine Crane; sisters, Nanette Wickham and Laola Rogers; and brother, Andrew Crane.

Bob is survived by his wife, Judith Crane of Oxford, MS; five children, Bobbi-Jo Crane of Whangarei, NZ, Ronald Crane of Liberty, MS, Diana Durand and her husband, Jim of Selah, WA, Connie Ashmore of Taylor, MS, and Jeff Crane and his wife, Valerie of Oceanside, CA; sisters, Margaret Peggi Landers of San Marcos, CA and Caroline Patricia Scott and her husband, Larryof Oceanside, CA; as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
