A Celebration of Life Service for Maurice Jean Dyson, 86, is set for 11:00 am Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Gardens.

Family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Saturday from 10:00am to service time.

Maurice died August 3, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born February 17, 1936 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Milton and Forbis Jones Cornelius. She was a member of Holly Baptist Church. Over the years she worked at ITT, South Central Bell, Hoyt’s Shoe Store and Intex Plastics.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Dyson; parents; brothers, Everette Cornelius, Clifford Cornelius, Olene Cornelius and Norman Cornelius.

She is survived by her son, Dale Dyson (Rita); granddaughters, Hope McDonald (Mark) and Rachel Sobota (Steve); great grandchildren, Megan and Noah McDonald, Chyler, Charley and Brinley Sobota; brothers, Kenneth Cornelius (Earline) and Travis Cornelius (Patsy); sisters, Doris Maness (Jerry), Lucretia Ferguson and Bonnie Smith (Randall); sister-in-law, Norine Cornelius; very special friend, Barbara Hudson; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jeff Bobo, Chris Bradley, Ricky Chambers, Eddie Joe Davis, Robert Lee and Trent Nethery Jr.
