Mr. Donald Lee “Don” Conrad, 59, died Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Buster Wilson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 at the church. Burial will follow in Kingdom Cemetery.

Don was born on December 5, 1962 in Akron, Ohio to the late Robert and Dora Ramsey Conrad. He proudly served his country as a Sr. Airman in the United States Air Force and found great joy and purpose in his career with the United States Federal Courts where he served as the longtime IT Director. He was a faithful and active member of New Prospect Baptist, a devoted husband and a loving father. His knowledge of automobiles was impressive. Minutes would quickly turn to hours as he lost himself in his work, rebuilding and simply tinkering with his prized 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle. Spending time outdoors tending to his bees taught him patience and provided moments of much needed solace and reflection. His extensive gun collection was envied by many.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Cook Conrad of Taylor, MS; two daughters, Virginia Conrad Hale and her husband, Brente of Taylor, MS and Natalie Ann Smith and her husband, Jeremy of Oxford, MS; two sons, Kenny Hazlewood and his wife, Kaytee of Oxford, MS and Tommy Hazlewood and his wife, Caralee of Oxford, MS; a sister Retha Marie Mills of Mountville, SC; a brother, Chad Alan Conrad of Oxford, MS and eleven grandchildren.
