Richard Forsyth

A Celebration of Life Service for Richard Vaughn Forsyth, 74, will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Rayburn Richardson officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm to service time.

Richard died August 18, 2022 at Landmark in Booneville, MS. He was born May 2, 1948 in Selmer, TN to the late R. F. and Perry Smith Forsyth. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and a graduate of McNairy Central High School. Richard was a US Army veteran. He was a log truck driver for many years. He enjoyed cooking, carpentry work, watching the cowboy channel and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Crum Forsyth; and his parents.

He is survived by his daughters, Shanna Renfrow (Ron) and Stephanie Moffitt (Clint); grandchildren, Ainsley Marsh (Bryant), Elena Deeann, Emma Jo Renfrow, C. J. Moffitt, McKenley and Brooke Moffitt; brothers, Robert Forsyth (Linda), Greg Forsyth (Katherine), Ronnie Forsyth and Haley Forsyth; sisters, Tommie Smith and Jimmie Forsyth; brother-in-laws, Phil Crum (Maralyn) and Paul Crum (Bonnie); and a host of other family and friends.
