Mrs. Jenece Hope White Stepp, 65, died Friday, August 26, 2022 at her home in Harmontown, MS. The funeral will be Tuesday, August 30 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Hart officiating. Visitation will be held prior the service. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery.

Jenece was born June 11, 1957, in Oxford, MS. She held a strong work ethic, and immediately after attending Oxford School District, began working in the restaurant industry. Knowing at a young age that she wanted a family of her own, Jenece married at 15 years old and had her first child at 17. What may sound daunting to some provided her with great purpose and joy. Jenece cherished special memories of family vacations to the Great Smokey Mountains of Gatlinburg, soaking in all of the nature and the precious time with her children. She loved a good game of bingo or visiting the casinos to try her luck against the house. By her children, she was affectionately referred to as an “FBI Agent”, with a keen ability for tracking her children and grandchildren and always knowing what they were up to. This, of course, was Jenece’s way of expressing her deep love and concern for her children. As long as she knew they were safe and happy, she was, too. Jenece was preceded in death by her father, Hal White; sister, Kaye Stepp; brother, David White; and her granddaughter, Chelsea Morris.

Jenece is survived by her beloved husband, Johnny Stepp of Como, MS; her mother, Ellen Lewis of Como, MS; two daughters, Tanya Morris of Hernando, MS and Cierra Morris of Como, MS; two sons, Allen Dwayne Morris and his wife, Morgan of Como, MS and Anthony Morris of Kingswood, TX; sisters, Lynn Gipson and her husband, Mike of Richland, MS and Ruby Stewart of Friendswood, TX; sister-in-law, Regina White and Rita Higgins; brothers, Bobby White and his wife, Tab of Southaven, MS; brother-in-law, Charles Stepp; 7 grandchildren, Dustin, Brook, Hannah, Bentley, Blake, McKiley, and Daulton; as well as 4 great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy or memorial contributions in Jenece’s memory may be made to Springdale Cemetery Fund, c/o Willard Denham, 263 County Road 461, Oxford, MS 38655.
