Sidney Louis “Sid” Wolfe, 91, died Friday, September 16, 2022, at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. The funeral will be Monday, September 19, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home.

A devout Christian who is now in the presence of Christ, Mr. Wolfe was a longtime member of Anchor Baptist Church. He served his Country faithfully and honorably during the Korean War and was a lifelong member and supporter of the American Legion. His love of family was nearly matched by his love of hunting although time and age took that away during his later years. Many in the Oxford of Old will remember Mr. Wolfe as a caring person who always strived to contribute positively to the people of his community. Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie Boatright Wolfe and two infant sons.

Mr. Wolfe leaves a daughter, Sidney Faye McCain (Bobby), and a son, Lynn Wolfe (Kathy), along with 6 grandchildren, Robby McCain, Mary McCain, Kendra McIntyre, Caitlin Ratliff, Leah Wolfe and Daniel Wolfe and 6 great grandchildren.
