Vernon Nelson
A Celebration of Life service for Vernon J.T. Nelson, 92, will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 to service time.
Vernon died September 17, 2022 at MS Care Center. He was born May 10, 1930. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a retired auto body repairman for many years in Aurora, IL before moving to Florida, then back to Corinth. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Nelson; mother, Zelma Nelson; sister, Opal Bennett; and grandparents, Jap and Ida Nelson.
He is survived by his daughters, Patsy Shepard (Jesse) and Christy Garrett; sons, Tommy Nelson, Rocky Nelson and John Nelson; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
