Gale Yates, Jr. (73) passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at his home in Blackland. He was a member of Trinity BibleBelieving Church and a member of the American Legion. He worked for APAC for 36 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was a Veteran and a Sergeant in the Army. He served in Vietnam and the Korean War.

Services are 2 pm Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Wayne Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Blackland Cemetery. Visitation will 5-8 pm Thursday, October 20, 2022 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Gale is survived by his son, Scottie Yates (Jessica) of Booneville; his daughter, Christy Crenshaw of Booneville; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Yates of Blackland; his brothers, Mitch Yates of Baldwyn and Ricky Yates of Corinth; his sister, Rosemary Carpenter (Gerald) of Tupelo; his grandchildren, Damian Yates (Misty), Austin Yates, Michael Crenshaw, Brooke Brown (Daniel), Chasity Wren and Rhiannon Yates (Noah); and his special friend, Linda Wood of Corinth.

He was preceded in death his parents, Gale Sr. and Ellie Pearl Yates; his sons, John Paul Yates and Arthur Yates; and the mother of his children, Linda Yates.

Pallbearers are Austin Yates, Michael Crenshaw, Damian Yates, Daniel Yates, Chris Yates and Brian Copeland.
