Doris Rakestraw
Blue Springs- Doris Rakestraw, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at the NMMC. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She loved being a pastor’s wife and she had a servant’s heart.
Doris served in many churches as a Sunday School Teacher and participated in several bible schools and other church activities. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday, November 03, 2022 at 2:00 p. m. with Bro. Larry Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Rakestraw of Blue Springs; sister, Dianne Jones of Tupelo; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Dollie Mae Bell Roberts; husband, David Rakestraw; son Bill Rakestraw; daughters, Kathy Goodwin and JoBeth Rakestraw; brother, Ethrel Roberts.
Pallbearers will be the men of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday from noon until 2:00 p. m.
