Emma (Tex) Boren died Friday, October 28, 2022, in Oxford, MS. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Emma was a senior at Ole Miss. An artist, political activist, and avid animal lover. The biggest, most beautiful heart. Emma didn’t go through a drive thru or cashier check out without giving employees at least one compliment. Outgoing, outspoken, and always willing to fight for those that cannot fight for themselves. Emma was a proud member of the LGBTQ community. Majored in film at University of Mississippi and planned to make horror films.
Survivors include Emma’s mother, Mary Pat Boren of Spartanburg, SC; father, Jason Boren of Hermanville, MS; sister, Haley Trent of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Jared Boren of Spartanburg, SC; and grandparents, Carl and Linda Boren of Hermanville, MS and Linda and Myron Patterson of Spartanburg, SC.
