Benjamin Lane Martin, 39, died unexpectedly in Jackson (Hinds County, Miss.) on October 24, 2022. Benjamin was born on January 10, 1983 in Memphis, Tn. to Andrew Martin and Judy Wilkerson Addison. His dad, Alvie Addison, raised him from a child and loved him as his own. Benjamin attended the Hickory Flat Public Schools. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and listening to his own kind of music. He spent much of his working life in the building construction industry and had lived in the Jackson area the last 6 years. Ben was baptized on October 24, 1999 at the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Hickory Flat, Mississippi.
A Private family graveside service will take place at 1 PM Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Hickory Flat, where he will be interred. Holland Funeral Directors is entrusted with arrangements.
Ben is survived by his mom and dad, Judy and Alvie Addision of Hickory Flat; two sons, Jesse James Matthew Martin and Noah Martin; his sister, Maria Luna; two brothers, Alvie Lynn Addison and Robert Anthony Addison; and his grandmother, Bobbie Wilkerson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jessie Agee in 1994, his grandparents, James Everett Wilkerson and Mr. and Mrs. Avlie Addison.
