Jean Frances (Story) Oslowski

October 27, 1933 ~ November 20, 2022 (age 89)

Jean Frances Story Oslowski, at age 89, departed this life for her eternal inheritance from Sanctuary Hospice House on November 20, 2022. Jean was born in Nyssa, Oregon on July 27, l933 to the late Ira Story and Frances Dean Story.  She grew up in Oregon and first moved to Mississippi in l946.   She later moved to California where she and her late husband owned and operated three successful A and W Root Beer Stands in Southern California.    In 2004, she returned to Mississippi to live at Lake Caroline near Madison and spent much time with her son, Melvin Andrews, Retired Captain with the Greenwood Police Department.  Ms. Oslowski enjoyed reading, traveling about the country and even made a trip to Europe.  She grew up working and her foundation was built on a very strong work ethic.  She loved visiting many denominations of Churches but always enjoyed the Pentecostal Churches most.

There will be no public services at this time.  Remembrances and expressions of sympathy may be e mailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net for the benefit of the family.  Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving the family.

Ms. Oslowski is survived by her son, Melvin Andrews of Greenwood; 2 grandsons, Julius Michael Andrews and David Gregory Andrews both of Pontotoc County.  2 great grandchildren,  Mariann Andrews and Glen Michael Andrews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
