Mr. Larry Wayne DeLashmit, 79, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Batesville, MS. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Waterford, MS with Rev. John Parker officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. DeLashmit was born on September 20, 1943, in Memphis, TN to the late Albert and Kathleen DeLashmit. He served his country as a member of the Air Force before building a career in manufacturing. As a coatings and linings engineer, he was one of the foremost experts in his field. His job took him across the world, traveling to many countries throughout his life. Mr. DeLashmit would often extend his global business trips to allow himself time to explore and immerse himself in the culture of whatever city he was in. He truly enjoyed the simple moments of life, and considered himself incredibly fortunate for the opportunities he had to travel. When others would be off on guided tours or perusing museums, Mr. DeLashmit could be found on a café patio, with a glass of wine and plate of local cuisine in front of him. Some of the places he visited were the UAE, Kuwait, Israel, Brazil, Russia, China, and many more. He had a love for fishing, losing all track of time at the first cast. He enjoyed the quietness of it, but nothing could beat a day spent fishing with his brothers. Mr. DeLashmit was a kind and gentle soul, known for his quiet, yet infectious joy. He was social, outgoing, and easily loved by all who were blessed enough to know him.

Mr. DeLashmit is survived by his daughter, Kim DeLashmit of Denver, CO; brothers, Boyce DeLashmit (Frances) of Waterford, MS and David DeLashmit (Debbie) of Camdenton, MO; and fourteen beloved nieces and nephews, Reno DeLashmit (Sherri), Quinton DeLashmit (Angela), Micaela Perkins (Andy), Jake DeLashmit (Rachel), Stacey Winglermueller (Brian), Carrie Broeke, Jason DeLashmit (Margarita), Angie Myer (Jason), Elizabeth Dodd, Anthony Garcia (Jennifer), Haime Garcia (Christine), Dina Garcia, Joey Garcia (Sarah), and Victoria Garcia.
