Riley Morris

Guntown- James Riley Morris, 69, passed away at his home on Monday, November 28, 2022. He graduated from Funeral Service at Gupton Jones. He retired from Cooper Tire and he was a former embalmer and employee for Ripley Funeral Home and Waters Funeral Home. He liked horses and he loved his children and grandchildren and always cherished every moment he spent with them. He was a veteran of the MS Army National Guard and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Friday, December 02, 2022 at Noon

with Bro. Joe McIntire and Dr. Chester Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Feltman Morris; one son, Jud, Guntown; 2 daughters. Mandy Robinson (Terry) Baldwyn and Abby Hill (Chase) Saltillo; Grandchildren, Pate Phillips (Malori) Rhet Phillips, Rush Watkins, Cam Robinson, Elijah Scales, Swayze Hill and Riley Cate Hill; one sister, Judy Gibson (Jimmy) of Guntown and his mother-in-law, Peggy Feltman; Sister in laws: Joyce Murray (Charlie) Burnsville, Laurie Burcham, Iuka and brother-in-law, Greg Feltman (Ann) Burnsville; host of other family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents James “Peewee” Morris and Agnes Hamblin Morris. Grandparents: Clarence and Bessie Morris and Rob and Pansey Hamblin. His father-in-law: Bro. Billy Paul Feltman.

Pallbearers will be David Richey, Brad Tate, Johnny Davidson, Orlando Snow, Othelma Snow, Greg Sanders and Chester Chism.

Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p. m.
