Betty Jane Sims

Betty Jane Sims, 78, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at her residence. She was born on August 4, 1944, to Reverend James and Ocene Whitehead. She was a member of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Betty loved spending time sewing, camping, and riding four-wheelers. Throughout her life she was a caregiver to many of her beloved family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Jack Whitley officiating. Burial will be in the New Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three daughters, Becky Moak (Mike), Patsy Sims, and Sandy Reeder (Lance); her son, Kenny Sims (April); her adopted daughter, Wanda Driscoll; her brother, Jim Whitehead (Lanna); ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Hugh Sims; her son-in-law, Mike Dalton; her brother, Ronnie Whitehead; and her two sisters, Eloise McAnally and Lynn Stephens.
Honorary pallbearers are Mark McAnally, Daniel Stephens, Matthew Stephens, Blake Arnold, Ryan Wood, and Eddie Henry.
