Pedger Derryberry

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Ernest “Pedger” Lee Derryberry, 85, is set for 2:00 pm Sunday at Chewalla Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to service time at the church.

Pedger died December 31, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born October 6, 1937 to the late Ernest Cleveland and Fannie Lou Derryberry. He was lifetime and oldest member of Chewalla Baptist Church. He was location manager for Wonder Bread in Corinth for many years.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Steven Paul Derryberry and Charles “Burk” Burkley Derryberry; parents, brothers, Bud Derryberry, Howard Cecil Derryberry; and sisters, Virginia McNair and Inez Glidewell.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Derryberry; son, Tim Derryberry (Mary); daughter, Phyllis Ragan (Chris); grandchildren, Jeremiah Derryberry (Heather), Joshua Derryberry (Holly), Jacob Derryberry (Hannah) and Caleb Ragan; great grandchildren, Jaden, Jax, Liam, Macon Grace, Sutton, Finley, Olivia, Winston and Attley; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
